Sergey Nazarov’s Vizart animation is a big inspiration to me. He puts a great amount of detail and realism into this steampunk-esqu engine rig. The finishing touches include glowing bulbs and tubes, steam, smoke and particles. He’s got great use of texture here too. We see everything from shiny glass, to old weathered iron, to rubber tubing. Gotta love that attention to detail!
