 These digital sculptures by David Brodeur are his masterful interpretation of Life as we know it. He interprets each being as having its own unique path along its lifetime, yet each takes on its own personality, as reflected by each of his sculpture’s thread-like tentacles.   I really enjoy this piece because it reminds me of string sculpture work I’ve seen in museums in the past.  Fernando brings us a stunning short motion graphics video. He doesn’t leave many clues as to how he assembled it, but my guess is Cinema4D or Maya, composited with After effects. I’m a huge fan of 3D typography. I’m a fan of typography in general, wether it’s hand-made or made on a computer, but 3D type is definitely my favorite. It brings a whole new life to type, as if it’s a real object you could reach out and touch. Every once in a while, someone makes a piece like this one that creates a larger-than-life atmosphere. I feel like if I were standing next to these letters that they would tower over me by 15 feet. I only wish that Hudson had posted an animated version of this piece.
