I came across this masterful collection of network idents on Behance today, and I had to share. This is exactly the kind of work I’m so inspired by. This artist clearly has a firm grasp on use of material, reflection, and light. I LOVE his super-tight text close-ups, and the way he layers multiple bevels onto simple text. This quality alone makes something as simple as a sans-serif letter take form and come to life. It makes it into sculpture. Combine that with cool lighting and the use of chromatic aberration, and he’s got one hell of a gorgeous project. See the full work on...

This project by Cornelius Dämmrich has intrigued me for a while. He doesn’t tell us much about the story involved, but it’s fascinating nonetheless. What appears to be happening is a surreal scene in which a man (or woman) in a flight suit is levatating, presumably away from a phone booth covered in graffiti. Cornelius has gone to unbelievable lengths to include detail on every single visible object in the scene. His lighting is spot-on as well. I love how he moves the camera through this frozen moment in time. Just doing so gives the viewer a better look at the scene, but we’re just left with no extra information. We’re still wondering “What the hell is going on here?” Check out the whole project on Behance : 52Hz...

I’ve been following Orlando Arocena on Behance for a while. I think he does some fantastic vector art and decided to share his latest piece. His Star Wars: Rogue One fan posters show his skill and style. He created these posters with the original ‘Full Metal Jacket’ movie poster as inspiration, and he swapped in a couple highly recognizable helmets from the Star Wars movies. He even gives us a glimpse at the vector outlines. Very stylish work Check it out on...
