Sergey Nazarov’s Vizart animation is a big inspiration to me. He puts a great amount of detail and realism into this steampunk-esqu engine rig. The finishing touches include glowing bulbs and tubes, steam, smoke and particles. He’s got great use of texture here too. We see everything from shiny glass, to old weathered iron, to rubber tubing. Gotta love that attention to detail! See the full animation on Vimeo: Vizart Machine ...

K.A. Batcha is a talented young motion graphics artist living in L.A. I came across his work a couple weeks ago on Behance. He’s got tons of high-profile mograph design projects on display in his Behance profile. He’s got Fox sports broadcast packages and even the Oscars under his belt. Over the years, I’ve seen lots of station ID graphics for local news. We all have; They’re a dime a dozen! But that doesn’t mean they’re a wasted opportunity in meaningful, engaging design. I think Batcha does a great job here of breathing new life into the tired cliches we see so much in station ID motion graphics (glassy, shiny, nondescript circles and dashed lines floating in space to eventually form the station or network logo). You can see from the examples below that he takes us into a bright, inviting environment, and even though the graphics swipe across the screen at a very fast pace from time to time, they’re overall graphic treatment is soft. I think it hits all the right notes See the full video here: https://vimeo.com/117344375 ...

Nawaz Alamgir is a talented motion graphics artist in London. I stumbled across this on Behance and couldn’t resist. This looks straight out of sic-fi movie! I wouldn’t be surprised if Nawaz works/has worked at a major studio. Here, Nawaz uses a ton of Trapcode MIR to create an incredibly detailed set of Ui/UX elements. To my eye, it looks like it could be part of the Avengers Ui set, or the Iron Man set. Either, it really takes you there. I don’t even know what I’m looking at, but I know it looks great! My guess is there’s also some use of Plexus and maybe some Particular. I’ll definitely be thinking about this piece the next time I have to create my own Ui animation.
